Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, has shown shrewdness that dwarfs that of the leaders of all the other nations, at least until the antichrist comes.
Sharon's show of force and daring when Israeli Defense Forces terminated Yassin, the founder and leader of Hamas, was brilliant in its calculation. Subsequent notices that all terror organization heads are targets is a stroke of genius!
Although suffering immensely in Israeli polls over his disengagement plans and just surviving a narrow recall vote in the Knesset, Sharon has shown himself to be the master, of late, of the Israeli/Palestinian political chessboard. First Sharon not only stunned his own nation with an announcement that he is planning to make a unilateral withdrawal from Gaza of all Jews living there, but he also stunned an Israel-hating world and out-played the Palestinians on the world stage. Even the contentious Green Line Fence no longer seems a major issue outside of Israel, regardless of how hard the Palestinians have tried to make it an international issue at the so-called World Court at the Hague. Now, having stunned his opponents and critics alike, Sharon, the old general that he is, has delivered a literal knockout blow to his enemies and left them staggering and wondering how they will rally world support for their cause in light of Israel's compromises with nothing expected of the Palestinians. Sheer genius! Sharon has not only lopped the head off of a major enemy, but has announced that they will continue to lop off heads at their leisure. It is brilliant strategy, stunning the opponent, destroying his leadership and frightening the rest beyond their ability to organize their resources against the threat. The message? Israel will rebel against the Abrahamic covenant on her own terms!
Israel is sending a clear message to the world. We will not let anyone kill Jews or force us into insecurity so stand back and watch us self-destruct instead. Now don't get me wrong, Israel is justified in attacking enemy leadership, but Israel is dead wrong in giving away even a square inch of her inheritance. By doing so she is despising her inheritance just as Esau did.
Where will this lead? Back to the Road Map. The Palestinians have almost completely lost their control over the world's sympathy strings. The Palestinians will now have to make huge concessions to "earn" back world support. They are fast learners and will garner from the Israeli example, by making painful and yet carefully crafted sacrifice to regain their leverage over Israel. In the end, the Palestinians will get their state and Israel will get her peace, on her terms and as a result she will have willingly rebelled against the one thing that has protected her from her enemies, God's covenant with her. When this happens then the antichrist will enter the stage, having been revealed by Israel's rebellion. There will be peace in the Middle East for 3.5 years and then all hell will break loose on earth or should we say hell will reign on earth until Christ establishes His kingdom in wrath against what man and Satan have thrust in the face of God!
