It is now official! With the unanimous passing of a Russian proposed resolution by the UN Security Council the world is now calling upon Israel with one voice to reject her covenant with God!
The voices of all of the world's nations are now unified against the covenant God established with Abraham. The resolution is the collective world support for the Road Map to Peace initiated by President Bush and forged by the US, EU, UN and Russia. To refresh your memory, the Road Map calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state on Israeli territory. In a nutshell, Israel is to pull back to her pre-1967 war borders in exchange for peace with her enemies. When Israel enters this agreement with her enemies she will be entering what the prophet Isaiah called the "covenant with death." Israel cannot be a party to both a covenant with God and a covenant with the world. She will serve one while hating the other! Israel cannot serve two masters!
President Bush put his seal of approval on the resolution today when in a speech given in England he pressured Israel to tear down her security fence and dismantle her settlements. He had little but political rhetoric for the Palestinians.
To be sure, Bush, the political creature that he is, will make certain to capitalize on the world's support for his vision for the Middle East. Sadly, this will entirely be at Israel's expense.
Israel, already bending over backwards to appease even the smallest dissent against her, will continue to bend until she gets the peace she so desperately wants. Israel's belief in the United States is unshakeable. She trusts the US and although she makes some minor showing of discontent with being bullied now and then, she will do whatever the United States tells her. Why? Israel believes that her security arrangements with the US are iron-clad. Because of this she believes no one can renege on their agreements, once peace is established, without incurring the wrath of the US. Indeed, the US has demonstrated the will and ability to severely damage Israel's enemies. Israel believes that the United States has Israel's best interests at heart. Oh Israel, how you want to see the good in man, but God has told us that there is not one who is righteous! The US will not be able to help you much longer. In one dreadful moment she will be neutralized and will be consumed with only protecting herself from further onslaught.
It is not too late for you Israel to listen to the LORD your God and turn to Him even now. What can any nation do to you if the LORD is for you? Who is it that can overcome your refuge in Him?
Folks, the stage is set and Israel is at the center of it. Do not be shocked by the swiftness in which an illegitimate state of Palestine will emerge. The Road Map calls for that to happen next month! Are you ready for next month to start the last seven years of this age? The vast majority of the world's people haven't a clue about what is on their doorstep!
Ready for the celebrations? They will be crying, "peace and safety" and yet there will be none. The world will believe the lie while the antichrist begins to rise.
Ready for wars and rumors of wars? Ready for a world that will destroy itself? Ready for famine, pestilence and plague? Ready for your church to turn against you? Are you ready for people who claim to know Jesus to call you an extremist? Will you stand firm in the faith to the end? From here on it won't get prettier.
