WHAT'S THE BUZZ . . .

By Randy Loudenslager

. . . ever hearing, but never understanding.

How can so many, who claim that Jesus Christ is LORD, not see what the day brings? Why can't they discern the signs and understand?

It is because they are storm-tossed waves! They are tossed to and fro with each new teaching and prophecy coming from self-proclaimed teachers/prophets of God. They line up and fill the pockets of the false prophets who teach that God's word says that we should be prosperous, have perfect lives, and because of our goodness we will be raptured before the time of tribulation begins.

It would be an easy thing for me to write such things that tickle your ears with what you want to hear. I could use lies and manipulate your emotions to make you feel peace as the world gives and as Israel craves. But it would not be the peace that Jesus gives, the peace needed to stand firm to the end. Instead it would be an uneasy peace, a false peace, that would lead to your destruction, and mine.

The media, controlled by the godless, spins tales of the demise of the 'Road Map to Peace' and every so-called Christian media outlet, dominated by the false prophets of the pre-tribulation rapture, picks it up as the gospel truth and spreads it to you. So-called Christians, in turn, take to it like a kitten takes to warm milk!

Everybody is buzzing about what perilous times we are in and speculation is epidemic among the self-proclaimed believers! "Oh, Israel will be attacked any day!" some proclaim. While others instruct you to start looking for the rapture that will come any day now. These people do not know the Word of God. They do not have eyes to see nor do they understand what they hear.

God writes all of history! "Of course He does," would be our reply as we run to the news gurus for our next dose of non-reality. The Bible spells it out in black and white, it is reality. His-story has already been provided in great detail and yet few of us are hungry enough to seek wisdom from the Living God as He speaks to us through the Living Word!

I'll spoon feed you this one: The 'Road Map' is not only alive, but it will succeed in its purpose. It will become the 'covenant with death' spoken of by the prophet Isaiah. It is the seven year covenant spoken of by the prophet Daniel.

Israel, although currently fighting terrorism, will not war with other nations again until the invasion of the beast and again when Jesus returns. God showed us the signs and they are being fulfilled at breakneck speed!

I will not spoon feed further. Only seekers will understand. You have the same book I do . . . the same Bible. So very few love the LORD enough to listen to him speak. Believe the Bible before you open it and then shut up and listen! It is alive with the Word, Spirit and will of our Father in heaven. It is with the heart that we believe and are justified! Stop thinking God and start believing God! Humble yourself before Him and be still!

We call ourselves Christians, but would Christ have been as rude to people as we are? Surely not! We see no record of his speaking over anyone just to be heard. We see only patience as He listened and then spoke. What a statesman! We are embarrassing ourselves before God and the world. It is no small wonder for most of us that God speaks in a small quiet voice. Would we shut up if He spoke louder? God will not shout. If you want to hear him then unlearn all that man has taught you and ask God to fill you with His wisdom and then be quiet. Only those who do so will find the narrow gate. The narrow gate? You remember, the one that Jesus said FEW would find.

I write this letter to plead with you, just as Paul pleaded,

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery . . . But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope . . . The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?
That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.
"A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough."
I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be.
