For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
It is time to face the music. It has always been time to face the music. Brothers and sisters, we are swimming in a sea of myth weavers! In the words of Jesus himself I say that they are surely in error because they do not know the scriptures or the power of God.
The essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ is simple: The conquering of sin and death through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the resurrection for all who truly believe. When sending his disciples out two by two into the countryside Jesus gave them one simple message to preach, "The kingdom is near." Paul wrote to the Philippians that he wants to know Christ and the power of the resurrection and to become like Christ in his suffering so somehow to attain the resurrection. He pressed on toward the goal, the prize. What is the prize? Salvation through the resurrection!
Jesus the Christ is to come only twice. He has fulfilled the first coming on the cross. On the last day of this age He will fulfill the second coming when He appears on the clouds and those who have not stood watching for him will run and hide in shear terror. Those who rejoice with a clear conscience will be saved from His wrath.
The Pharisees teach another gospel. They contradict the words of Christ himself! They are leading multitudes through the wide gate and to their destruction. What is this gospel of destruction? The rapture of the church before the desolation (tribulation). They twist the scripture to fit their theology but they are in error because they do not know the scriptures or the power of God. They teach us to fear the tribulation saying that this is God's wrath on the earth, but scripture says it is against Israel. They tell us that God will not let us suffer by letting the church go through the tribulation, but scripture says that by suffering we might obtain the resurrection because it builds in us hope, perseverance and character. They teach that the Holy Spirit will depart from the earth and then so will the church, but they do not understand that the Archangel Michael is Israel's guardian and it is he that holds back the man of lawlessness and it is he that will be withdrawn when the seeds of rebellion bear fruit in Israel. When he is removed the antichrist will be able to conquer Israel and sit enthroned in the temple on Mount Zion. This has been Satan's dream for many a millennia.
It is because of these teachings and many more doctrines of deceit that the scriptures tell us that many will fall away from the faith. We will be facing mass apostasy among our ranks, not revival!
Seek the truth, stop listening to man, stop listening to me if it suits you, but get into the Bible and seek with all your heart. Everyone seems to know what a Berean is but few check the scriptures to measure another's words. Don't just read the word but do what it says!
With thousands of first time visitors to my web site each month you can imagine what kind of email I get. By far the predominant question is, "How can you teach that the church will not be raptured before the tribulation?" I say here and now, how can you believe otherwise? You have the Word of God Almighty but you turn to man to do your thinking, speaking and believing. Your teachers tell you that the Bible says something and you believe every word they say. Check their words and then check mine, go ahead, test the spirits and be a Berean (Acts 17:11). Are your teachers better than Paul? Or so brash as to contradict Jesus by saying that there will be no resurrection on the last day? Or so brazen that they change the meaning of the term last day into some meaningless drivel?
The greatest compliment I have ever received came from a pastor who looked at me and said, " Do you know what your problem is Randy? You don't fit in any of the boxes." Praise the LORD! It is time for you to get out of your boxes! They want you there because like their predecessors, the Pharisees, they like to lord it over you. Tear down the walls of your boxes with the double edged sword of God's truth!
Above all else, to obediently watch for the coming salvation is the greatest preparation one can make. To make it one has to go to God alone for wisdom and understanding. He will freely give these to you if you ask. If you do not grasp the meaning of this then shear terror will be your lot on the last day. Don't take my word for it, open your Bible for yourself.
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 1 Timothy 4:1
