2000 YB5 is the name given, by scientists, to a recently discovered 300 meter (328 yards) asteroid. Discovered just a month ago, this asteroid passed just 510,000 miles from earth on January 7 and actually crossed the earth's orbit. Although not a danger at 510,00 miles away, scientists have categorized 2000 YB5 as potentially dangerous. The potentially dangerous label marks this asteroid as having the slim possibility of striking the earth sometime in the future. Scientists are alarmed by the last minute discovery of this asteroid.
The size of the asteroid has the potential of destroying an entire nation or if it were to hit an ocean, to inundate countless coastal cities worldwide. We know from the Holy Bible, there will be an asteroid strike in the last days! Whether it is 2000 YB5 or another asteroid doesn't matter, because scientist agree, we couldn't do anything to stop it! Bible prophecy gives even more details, it shows the asteroid falling into the sea. This cataclysmic event will destroy a third of the ships of the sea and cause great distress among men. True Christians need not fear, because you are sealed by the Holy Spirit, so God's judgments upon the earth will not harm you. What a powerful witnessing tool!
The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. Revelation 8:8-9.
