10China Targets The
U.S.

As America makes strategic decisions on who it will target next in the war on terrorism, China is preparing for war with the United States. Russia, already at peak production of weapons for sale to her loyal customers, has just agreed to sell China two more of her best destroyers. These are not coastal defense ships, but part of China's blue water fleet. These destroyers are intended for offensive purposes.With the sinking of U.S. aircraft carriers in mind, the Chinese are not buying stripped down models, but state of the art ships and weapons systems. The fearsome Sunburn supersonic anti-ship missile will be part of the package. The Pentagon considers the Sunburn missile a credible threat to their naval vessels.
China is also becoming a nuclear threat to America. It is estimated that China has approximately 20 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the U.S. But the CIA estimates that China's missile arsenal will grow to around 75-100 missiles within the next 10-13 years. A mass attack from an arsenal this large would overwhelm any anticipated missile defense system the U.S. could muster.
As I have repeatedly stated in past Daily WATCH issues, as American power is weakened or tied up in conflicts around the globe, it will mean increasing danger to Israel. Israel's circumstances are of particular importance to Christians for several reasons. The most pronounced and often misunderstood signs of the last days will be found in what happens in Israel. Also, to be found against Israel is to be found against God, Israel is the apple of God's eye! If the LORD instructs us through his word to pray for the peace of Jerusalem then all eyes had better be on Israel. When the day comes that America can no longer protect Israel, then Israel will be left without a champion until the LORD comes again to claim her remnant!
