I have been having dreams of Jesus teaching me and I wake up because I am actually saying aloud, "Yes, Lord...I understand." Unfortunately, I don't remember what He has told me. Then, the other night, I had a dream in which
my boss was packing up her office and she said, "Annette, didn't you hear? They initiated martial law this morning." I said, "I always knew this would happen, but I just didn't think it would happen now!" Then, the next morning, while praying I had a vision. It started with a man on a roof he was building. Someone came and told him to come down and read something.
He came down, read it and said in an almost worried and perplexed tone, "So, what does this mean?" Then, I saw an angel with wings spread open spinning very fast and it wiped away the vision and all I could see was the spinning of the angel. When it stopped, I saw a large, very busy city (for some reason I thought it was Tokyo, but I am not sure about that). Life was just
going on as usual and then suddenly...a huge caved in hole was in the ground and the whole city was being sucked into it and there was lots of fire. Then, the angel swooped its wings up and down and the city scene was gone and I saw a little girl and boy playing hopscotch. The boy was sitting down while the girl took her turn. While skipping the spaces, she was singing
"Jesus Loves Me." As soon as she said those words...whoosh...she disappeared. Then, the vision was over. Any comments or insight on all of this?

Thanks for the e-mail.

My response: Have you ever heard of an epiphany? It is that moment when a thought becomes so clear that you have clear and certain understanding and you can't wait to share it with someone else. The problem is that the harder you try to remember it the more it fades away. God sends epiphanies. The LORD's word also works like an epiphany. It was not given to us to memorize or intellectualize. It is presented to us as pure unadulterated truth. We have to make a decision as to what to do with this truth when the Holy Spirit reveals it to us, accept it or reject it. If you accept it as total truth then it is written in your heart and put in your mouth (Romans 10:8). You may have noticed that when speaking to someone when you are filled with the Spirit that what is coming out of your mouth is pure truth and holiness and although you know that it is the Holy Spirit you are wowed because it is like "how did I know that?" The truths that you receive are stored in your heart and come forth as understanding when spoken. Your dreams of being taught by Jesus work this way. Don't worry, you have told the LORD that you understand and when you least expect it these teachings will come forth at their appointed time. Remember that what we are given is not just for us but for others.

My response: This dream is different because it is not a teaching but prophetic. Like you, I and many others with the gift of prophecy are being warned of the speed in which the end is coming, "the end will come like a flood. (Daniel 9:26)" I receive quite a few dream email questions. The LORD is raising up prophets and teachers to lead His people during the darkness that is just ahead, you are being prepared. But also beware, there are many false prophets also rising up. They are deceiving many and leading them away from obedience. They will viciously attack those who hold to the true gospel.

My response: I am personally intrigued by this vision. My prophetic call came one day when I was standing on the roof of my house doing repairs. The LORD spoke within me two things. The first thing He was that He wanted me to prepare the way for His coming, to walk in the way of John the Baptist. Overwhelmed I almost fell off the second story roof! Just as I was gaining my balance and agreeing to serve this way the LORD spoke again and said "They kill people like you." Normally this would not seem to be a good message, but I was greatly comforted by the Holy Spirit and eager to pursue this calling.

The LORD is comforting you in this vision. This vision is meant to be shared with the saints and the wicked alike. The scriptures show us that on the same day that the wrath of God destroys the cities of the earth we who belong to Him will be 'passed over.' On that day we will be like little children, no cares, only peace and joy. Praise be to the LORD God Most High!
