Hi Randy,

I have a new question for you and it is about something I read on your site. Your daily watch page from last year called “race in the heavens to conquer the world” http://www.lastday.info/watchv4i2.html has a section toward the end that is puzzling me.

“Russia has a population of 80 million adherents to Islam. Russia has historic relationships with Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran.
Many often make the mistake in their prophetic understanding that the antichrist will rule all the nations. The prophetic reality is that he will rule over a relatively shaky alliance of nations in some form of confederation, not unlike Russia's present Confederation of Independent States of which she is the dominant party.”

Where do you come up with that? That the antichrist will only rule over a shaky alliance of nations? The following verses seem clear that the beast or antichrist will rule over the world or “all the nations”

Daniel 8:23 … “the fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.

Here we see that a fourth world empire is going to arise. and also;

Rev. 12:5 “She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”

Rev. 13:7-9 “He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear”

And here we see that the beast is given authority to rule over all people.

I know this is an older article, but I was wondering if you could give me the scripture passages you used to reach your understanding. Thanks for any insight you can share.

Hi K.,

WOW! Great email again! I wish more people would be Bereans like you!

My response: The problem here is a matter of perception. Notice the following verses:

I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. 2The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. 3One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. 4Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" (from Revelation 13)

Notice that there are ten crowns. These are separate sovereign crowns joined together in the beast. Because they are still recognized as "crowns" so they are considered together as a confederation. I used the Confederation of Independent States as an example where Russia is combined with other sovereign nations in a confederation, but it is obvious that Russia is the dominant party. So it will be with the kingdom of the beast. He will have ironclad control over ten kings and political control over the rest of the nations. Presently we have a similar worldwide confederation of nations dominated by the United States known as the UN. The antichrist's empire will not be unlike the UN or CIS (although more evil). All will have a say, but the big boy on the block will call the final shots, having leashes attached to all confederation members. (Naturally the UN will have to be done away with so that the empire of the antichrist can take its place). Another way to look at it is to review the illustration used by the scripture above. I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. Here we see one animal made up of the parts of various other animals. Now lets go to Daniel for a clearer view of this animal (the beast):

Daniel said: "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

4 "The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it.

5 "And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, 'Get up and eat your fill of flesh!'

6 "After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

7 "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

8 "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully. (from Daniel 7)
Revelation 13 shows that the final beast is a conglomeration of the earlier beasts (empires) of Daniel's vision.
Now, to understand the shaky alliance we must see that three of the kings needed to be subdued, but Daniel shows us more details about the last empire being shaky:

31 "You looked, O king, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32 The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. 34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

36 "This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. 37 You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; 38 in your hands he has placed mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds of the air. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

39 "After you, another kingdom will rise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth. 40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. 41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

44 "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. (from Daniel 2)

These verses from Daniel show that the kingdom of the beast is actually a confederation of "kingdoms" that is shaky enough that it will not remain united. The antichrist's empire is the toes made of iron and clay that will be smashed by the rock, that is, the coming Christ's kingdom.

I hope that helps Sister.

In the service of the LORD Jesus,

Randy

PART 2

Your email:

Randy,

Thank you very much. It’s funny I was studying those very verses. And the image of many nations kept jumping out at me but I couldn’t get past the references to ruling over all the earth. Now I can see that there are many ways to rule. It just doesn’t have to be like a president. It could be ruling the earth by fear of what is to come. Like terrorism. I see that one could read more than is there but if you simple read for what it is it is so clear. References in Daniel to kingdoms and not a single one world kingdom. That is so funny if you have a preconceived idea how things will be how you can read into it.
It makes a difference on ones interpretation. You might miss the very thing you are looking for. We could actually be much closer to the fourth kingdom than I thought we were. I don’t think the world bows to Russia yet, not even her political power, but things are definitely heating up. No one could deny that Russia is shoring up many countries to be on her side of things politically and teaming with terrorists.

Thank you again,

In Christ,

K.

My answer:

K.,

Not only am I glad that the eyes of your heart are open enough to see, but that you see the preconceived idea problem that hinders so many, thank you LORD!
Over a decade ago I felt that the teachings of men seemed to contradict what I was reading in scripture. I decided to pray to God about it and I asked Him to remove all that was man-made in my mind about His truth and replace it with His wisdom alone. That very night He began to open my eyes in the most wonderful way. Since then I have been on a quest to get others to do the same. You would be amazed by how many people will not release the teachings of men from their hearts in exchange for God's wisdom. Because of their blindness they can't see that they are holding the teachers above their Creator. God speaks very plainly via His Spirit and His Word. Teachers are not to interpret it, but to bring it to light in a persons heart where they will either receive it or reject it as pure truth.
