Your question: I have a few questions. Wher does the Bible speak of the 3rd coming of Christ? I have read the Bible and I know that the Kingdom was established in Acts Ch.2. Peter tells us that the earth will burn up at Christ's return, so why would Jesus want to rule on that? The Bible tells us that Jesus is on the throne of God NOW, where does the Bible talk of another kingdom? The book of Acts states that we are living in the Last Days, why do you teach something other than the Bible and call it truth? I would appreciate a biblical response to my concerns. Thank You |

My answer: Hi, You said: Wher does the Bible speak of the 3rd coming of Christ? My response: It doesn't. There will be only two comings. Hebrews 9:28 tells us that Jesus came the first time as a sacrifice, the second time he will come to bring salvation. You said: I have read the Bible and I know that the Kingdom was established in Acts Ch.2. My response: Acts Chapter 2 tells us that Jesus was made LORD and Christ (verse 36), it does not say His kingdom was established at that time. You said: Peter tells us that the earth will burn up at Christ's return, so why would Jesus want to rule on that? My response: Your right, the earth will be burned up, but the LORD also promises to transform the earth into a place of abundance again. This will begin the day He pours out His wrath. The moment He is finished He will bind the wounds of the Israelites and streams of water will flow from every mountain and lofty hill. There will be great abundance. Isaiah 30:19-33, 32:15-20 & 35:1-10, among others, depict these things with clarity. You said: The Bible tells us that Jesus is on the throne of God NOW, where does the Bible talk of another kingdom? My response: Yes, Revelation 5:6-10 depicts Jesus as the Lamb on the throne, but this is a shared throne (verse 7) and is the throne in heaven. The saints are a kingdom in waiting. They will reign on earth, they haven't begun their reign yet. In Revelation 11:15 shows us that when the seventh trumpet sounds the kingdom of the world becomes the kingdom of the LORD. Ezekiel 37:15-28 prophesies about a gathered and united Israel under 'David' forever in the land. They will live in righteousness, something that has not happened yet. Daniel 7:13-14 & 27 show Jesus coming on the clouds and given authority over the earth by the Father. Micah 4:1-8 clearly shows the LORD ruling from Mount Zion. Revelation 20:4-10 depicts the resurrection and the thousand year reign of the saints with Christ. They are dwelling in Jerusalem and are attacked after the thousand years by an army of descendants of the earths holocaust. This army is incited by Satan and when it reaches Jerusalem it is consumed in fire. Chapter 21 continues with the new heaven and new earth. The new Jerusalem descends from heaven. it doesn't have a temple because both the LORD God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. God Most High comes to dwell on earth. This will consummate the throne of God once and for all. During the thousand years Jesus reigns from Jerusalem as both king and High Priest (Zechariah 6:12-13) but after He will reign on the throne of God. You said: The book of Acts states that we are living in the Last Days, why do you teach something other than the Bible and call it truth? My response: Yes, we are living in the last days. The last days also encompass the events of the end of the age such as the 'birth pains,' the 'desolation' and the last day. How am I teaching things that are "other than the Bible?" My first prayer when I encounter a person who attempts to hold me accountable to the truth is, "Lord, please show me where I am wrong. If I am not wrong then please show this person where they may be wrong and grant us both eyes to see and ears to hear." This is my prayer now. My burden is great for God's people and I do not want to be found by Jesus on that Day having led people astray after false doctrine. I hope this helps if not let me know. In the service of LORD Jesus, Randy |
