My response: With all due respect to both your friend and the Pope I wouldn't pay any attention to this theory. First of all it is a tradition of man. You will not find it in the Bible. It is a distraction from the truth among people looking for signs. Jesus said that a stiff necked generation seeks a sign and they will receive none. If we look for the signs Jesus said to look for we would be watching for His coming, the most significant event that will ever happen in history (and it will end history the way we know it). We are instructed by Jesus to watch Jerusalem, not the Vatican. He told us exactly what will happen in and around Jerusalem so we will not be blind to His coming, but only those who truly believe in Him and remain obedient to the end will not be deceived by the doctrines of demons. Jesus said many will fall away from the faith. Please don't follow after theories. Bible prophecy is very exact and is loaded with details for those who have eyes to see. Many prophecies are being fulfilled right now!
