My answer: Hi J., You wrote: I'm concerned about the true day of worship. God created the world in six days He saw that it was good and rested on the seventh day and sanctified and made it a holy day( Sabbath) According to our calender today we have seven days in our week ; SUNDAY, MONDAY,TUESDAY,WEDNESDAY,THURESDAY,FRIDAY and SATURDAY the seventh day of the week. God rested on the seventh and sanctified it. (His Sabbeth) My response: Absolutely right. The Jews still observe Saturday, the last day of the week as the Sabbath. You wrote: So why do most churches, today worship on Sunday? The Sabbath is referred in Gods laws (The Ten Commandments) as a day to be remembered and to be kept holy .! My response: I don't know if you have read my latest Daily WATCH article, but addresses this very thing and more. Here is a link to it: http://lastday.info/watchv2i99.html My article basically deals with the purpose of the body of Christ, the Sabbath day rest and why do we meet together. In a nut shell, the purpose of our meeting together is not to worship but to encourage each other and build each other up in light of the approaching day of the LORD. Worship is done on a personal level in prayer, when it happens corporately it is because the body was stirred to do so by the presence of God, it isn't something we schedule. If people understand that then they will understand assembling with other believers any time, including Sundays, and will find rest on the Sabbath and reflect on God's goodness to us, just as God intended. When we use the term 'holy' as Christians we must understand that this means to be set apart as pure. Hence the Sabbath is to be set aside as a day that isn't adulterated with the comings and goings of man, but on quiet reflective reverence for God and loving fellowship with each other. I pray that I have served you well. In the service of the LORD Jesus, Randy |

Your email: Hi again Randy ! With love in Christ |

My answer: Hi J., My response: Yes. You wrote: we remember it but how are we keeping it & how are we keeping it holy. My response: People pay lip service at best to the Sabbath. They do not understand what it means to keep it holy. Some do not even know and most do not care that God set the Sabbath apart for man and not man for the Sabbath. You wrote: If man was responsible for sunday church he is doing things his own way and he is not remembering what God said to do about the Sabbath. If we all want to meet Him, in the air some day at the end time shouldn't we follow His Word ? My response: We should follow his word in unquestioning obedience. The problem is that not keeping the Sabbath holy is a symptom of greater ills in the churches. Their man-made doctrines have taken them so far outside of understanding the Word that they fail to see the issue with the Sabbath or even salvation for that matter. The Sabbath issue is just one of many important ailments these people will answer for. They will answer because they deliberately surround themselves with false teachers who tickle their ears with what they want to hear, which is very often not the truth! You wrote: I would like to say, with all humility ,that I have really been blessed by our question and answer time. May you be richly blessed by God and I hope to meet you some day up there with all the saints ! My response: I have been blessed as well by your searching questions and I know we will have much to share together when we meet in the kingdom, God bless you my friend!
