My response: I believe, with no reservation, in the pre millennial return of Jesus Christ. His return starts the thousand year reign. I don't exactly fit the mold that most post millennial believers want to fit me into, much to their frustration.

My response: I believe we are on the precipice of the 'birth pains" period of the time line. This period marks the beginning of the end-times. It starts with Israel making a covenant with her enemies and rebelling against the covenant established by God. Israel's motivation will be self-preservation and peace. When Israel exchanges her covenant lands for peace with the Arabs she will enter a 3 1/2 year time of unprecedented peace and will have stirred God's wrath against her for rebellion. She will then enter the time of punishment, also known as the desolation or better known as the tribulation. During this period of time (3 1/2 years) Go will punish Israel via her enemies.

My response: I haven't heard anything very recently from Sharon about taking the temple mount. There was an announcement about five weeks ago or so from the head of Jerusalem security that they were going to quietly open the mount to non-Muslims. I believe that our focus as Christians and Jews is a little narrow on this subject. We tend to believe that the temple mount will be either all Muslim (as it is for now) or all Jewish. Scripture seems to hint at more of a wholistic approach where both the Islamists and the Jews will share the mount. This would work in favor of the antichrist who would be enthroned in the temple and seen by the masses as the only one who could bring these opposing faiths together in unity under him. It would initially be scene by both faiths as fulfillment of their prophecies, the three major religions foretell of a conqueror to come.

My response: The significance of the red heifer is not its sacrifice but its ashes after burning it in sacrifice. The ashes, mixed with water, are used as the waters of cleansing. This water is needed to purify the new temple and its implements. That is the main significance of the red heifer and its need to be declared kosher under Talmudic law. All that is left is to actually build the temple and they already have the cornerstones standing by to be put into place.
