Your question: Dear Randy, Thank-you very much for shedding some light on the end days and the pestilence situation! Since I'm on a roll about asking questions; will Israel attain peace with the Arab nations? Finally, in Genesis God talks about the Nephilim and the daughters of man having children. How did this take place? Were these God's angels or the demons that fell from grace with the devil? Sincerely, J. S. |

My answer: Hi J., You said: will Israel attain peace with the Arab nations? My response: Absolutely. The Bible refers to this as a covenant with death. In Daniel 9:26 it is the beginning of the seven year covenant and in Ezekiel 38 we see Israel at peace, secure and unsuspecting in her unwalled villages. Daniel tells us that mid-way into the 7 year covenant the beast will launch a surprise invasion against the Holy Land while Ezekiel gives a great amount of detail about this surprise attack. When Israel rebels against the covenant by allowing the establishment of a Palestinian state on covenant lands then the Arabs will grant Israel a fake peace that will last 3 1/2 years. The invasion by the antichrist's forces will signal the beginning of the 3 1/2 year desolation period of Israel, more popularly known as the Great Tribulation. You said: Finally, in Genesis God talks about the Nephilim and the daughters of man having children. How did this take place? Were these God's angels or the demons that fell from grace with the devil? My response: Your reference to Genesis 6:1-4 has often perplexed many a scholar, but it perplexes them because they over think the verses. First, the Nephilim were the ancestors of people like Goliath the Philistine. They were a race of giant humans. They were sons of God the same as we are sons of God. This is a literal term that simply states that man came from God and woman from man (1 Corinthians 11:8-10), hence 'sons of God' and 'daughters of men.' Verse 4 sums this up by saying that their offspring were 'men of renown,' they were giant men, but they were still men - human. You also notice that verse 4 tells us that the Nephilim were on the earth 'afterward' as well. Noah's offspring carried their genetic diversity through the flood. I pray that I have served you well. In the service of the LORD Jesus, Randy |
