Your email:

Randy,
When does the 1000 years begin? Have we already gone through that period or will it be a literal 1000 years? Great web sight. How close do you think Randy we are close to the second coming in terms of years?
G.

 My answer:

Hi G.,
Thanks for the e-mail and the compliment on the site.

My response: The thousand years begins on the same day this age ends, that is, on the last day or day of the LORD. The most specific verses are in Revelation 20:6-7. The context before them places the thousand years starting from the resurrection which is on the last day.

My response: Post-millennialism teaches a spiritualized interpretation of scripture, but the Bible is very literal and specific. The post-millennialist would say we are in the thousand year period, but they would not be correct. I have had a number of them attempt to debate me through email but when I disprove their interpretations they never write back. It will most certainly be a literal thousand year period of time. The thousand year reign of Jesus Christ will be on earth from Jerusalem where He will be enthroned. This will be the last thousand years of time or the last age. There will be mortals who will be allowed to survive God's wrath and re-populate the earth. Mortals live within time, but the believers will be resurrected with spiritual bodies and will no longer be subject to the laws of time. Satan will lead the descendants of these mortals against Jerusalem after the thousand years (Revelation 20:7-9). The mortals will be consumed by fire (verses 9-10) and then the second resurrection and the judgment take place (verses 11-15). After all this takes place a new heaven and new earth will replace the old (Revelation chapter 21) and there will be no need for time since all that will remain of the living creation will be spirit (believers, angels and God).

My response: I want it to be understood that I do not know as of yet and if I give a number it is only and exclusively speculation. A great many people depend on me as a source of truth and I do not want to be responsible for leading anyone astray. With that said, my personal opinion is that the LORD will come in about 8-10 years. When Israel recognizes a state of Palestine cut from her covenant lands then the countdown begins (this will be the seven year peace covenant - Daniel 9:27). The Palestinians have claimed that they will hold elections in January and then declare a provisional state along the line of suggestion by President Bush. If that happens, well, a state is a state. Bush himself said that once a provisional state is declared it would take approximately 3 years +/- for final state status and negotiations to conclude which would land us smack dab in the middle of the seven year covenant with the antichrist and then the abomination that causes desolation will happen. The desolation (tribulation) will last 3 1/2 years until the LORD comes.

I pray that I have served you well.

In the service of the LORD Jesus,

Randy
