My answer: Hi S., You said: i take it that you believe that the sabbath is saturday then? My response: Absolutely, not religiously, but obediently. You said: if so do you worship on the true sabbayh My response: I worship every day. The spiritual act of worship happens in the heart, not in a church building. We observe the Sabbath for what it was created for, a day of rest. By doing so we keep it Holy through our obedience. We do not attend what we in the West call "church." We observe what is seen in the book of Acts, fellowship with the Holy Spirit and with each other. In this setting all participate to feed the body with their spiritual gifts and all who seek the living God grow in their faith. I would be happy to answer more on this if you would like. You said: i would also like to hear your thoughts on matthhew 24 vs 40-41 My response: I love these verses. The context around the taking of the one and leaving of the other is still a last day scenario. Verse 44 along with the rest of the context needs to be read with 40-41. It shows the second coming of Christ. We know from Hebrews 9:27-28 that Jesus will come only twice, once to atone for our sins (which He did) and a second time to bring salvation (through the first resurrection). Luke 17:24-37 beautifully sums up what will happen using those same verses, Jesus will come and light up the sky but first He must suffer, therefore there are two comings (Verses 24-25). Just like the flood and the fire raining down on Sodom so will the coming of Christ be (26-30). The night that Jesus violently takes His kingdom from Satan two people will be there and then one will be chosen and the other left (34-35). The disciples ask where will the people go, His reply is vultures feeding on dead bodies, these vultures and dead bodies are the same as those spoken of in Ezekiel in reference to the day of the LORD (Read Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39, also specifically verses 39:4 & 17-20). I hope this helps if not let me know. In the service of LORD Jesus, Randy |
