Your question: Hello, Randy, I wonder if you have given
thought to where we are (the saints and Christ) from day 1261
to day 1335? I would be interested in your thoughts on this matter. Blessings, C.L. |

My answer: Hi C.L., You said: I wonder if you have given thought to where we are (the saints and Christ) from day 1261 to day 1335? My response: We will be still here waiting for Christ's return until day 1335. Note: I believe you are referring to Daniel 12:11-12. It would be 1291 to 1335. You said: I believe from my study that there is a two-phased second coming ~ first the 'rapture'/resurrection when his feet do not touch down, (7th trumpet sounding ~ soon after which the wraths/ bowls/vials (1-7) begin to be poured out) and then the return on white horses from heaven to end Armageddon after the 7th Bowl, and to set up the Millennial Kingdom. My response: The end of sacrifice and abomination that cause desolation will be for a period of 1290 days (Daniel 12:11). The scripture doesn't say that day 1290 will mark the last day, day 1335 will (12-13). After day 1290 the antichrist will be challenged by the king of the south and will go south to conquer him (Daniel 11:40-43). While there he will receive news from Israel that the Jews have rebelled (Micah 4:11-5:9) against him and he will be enraged and will annihilate many (Daniel 11:44. Note: The antichrist will be in Egypt, the king of the south, and will have to travel first east and then north to reach Israel) . He will pitch his tents in Israel (11:45) and his forces will fight their way to the edges of Jerusalem to quell this insurrection (this is a picture of the final battle launched from the plains of Megiddo. The Lord shepherds the remnant in Jerusalem out of harms way by sending them through the valley He made when he split the mount of Olives and then he touches down with us in tow (Zechariah 14:3-5). At this point he will speak the destruction of the antichrist's forces from Mount Zion. The Jews will have had 45 days under siege. During this time they would have reinstated the sacrifices hence the difference between the 1290 days and the 1335 days. Please be careful that you do not follow the book of Revelation as one continuous linear event. It is broken up into a cycle of visions that give the details from different perspectives of the same events. The rule of thumb is that it must agree with the prophets or your conclusion is wrong. An example of this vision within a vision is in the context you refer to in Revelation. You have the seventh trumpet sound and the second coming of Jesus Christ (11:15-19) but there is a transition to another vision starting in 12:1. This transition takes you through the same events but from a completely different perspective all the way through 14:20. Then a new vision occurs. I hope this helps if not let me know.
