Your email: a harvest harvest has 3 parts |

My answer: Hi J., You wrote: a
harvest harvest has 3 parts My response: I can agree with the first fruits and the main harvest, but the gleanings are actually a part of the main harvest. Gleanings are actually crops left behind the harvesters on purpose to help provide for the poor and destitute. An example would be found in the book of Ruth where we see Ruth following the harvesters to gather what they might have missed for herself. Ruth's gleaning was during the main harvest. You wrote: 1. Jesus was the first fruits when he rose from the dead he freed those who were in paradise and took them to heaven.this was when the bible mentioned the ghost that were seen in jerusalem. My response: Yes, Jesus is the first fruits. You wrote: 2. the main rapture. when jesus told john to 'come up hither" in revelation.the 24 elders represent the church.angels donot wear crowns. My response: First, the correct term should be 'resurrection' as 'rapture' only describes one aspect of the resurrection and then we would be in keeping with Jesus' 'resurrection' from the dead as the first fruits. Second, where does it say angels do not wear crowns? God has given authority to some angels and the symbol of the crown would be in keeping with God given authority. An example is the description of the fall of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28:12-19. In verse 13 shows him adorned with precious stones in settings of gold. Another example of angels (of light or darkness) being given crowns is Revelation 6:2 where the rider is given a crown. Third, I can see that Revelation 4:1 is what the resurrection will be like but there is no indication in the context to support your assumption that this is the actual resurrection. You also assume that the twenty four elders are resurrected saints - this is not supported by scripture. A gold crown does not indicate resurrected saints. Our reward is the resurrection itself and after that to inherit the kingdom and rule under Christ. Why would only twenty four of us receive crowns? And where is everyone else? Our authority (crowning) happens at the resurrection which is the day of Christ's second coming which is the last day of this age. The resurrection is the finish of our race and where we receive our crown. Fourth, there are only two resurrections. The first is for the righteous in Christ and the second is for everyone else. Those who are part of the second resurrection are destined for the second death which is the lake of fire (Revelation 20:4-15). You wrote: 3. the two witnessess when they are brought back to life other tribulation saints are also taken to heaven with them. My response: The account of the two witnesses is an actual depiction of the last day resurrection when all the saints are resurrected imperishable. This is on the last day as depicted in the context of Revelation 11:13-19 that follow the resurrection. I pray I have served you well, Randy |
